If your open source technology or tool is not mentioned on our technologies page then this is the page for you.
We want to cover as many open source development tools and technologies in this conference as we're able to. To do this we need your help. If you belong to a user group for a technology that you want to be part of the conference, then please help us run a stream for it.
We need the following assistance from your group:
- Two people to join the Program Committee who will also be around for the full conference to assist with running the show
- Distribution of the Call for Papers amongst others who use your technology
- Several people to review papers which fall within your technology (we're presuming that your user group knows more about your technology than Melbourne Perl Mongers). Exact numbers of reviewers will depend on the number of relevant paper submissions.
- Assistance promoting the conference to your technology's users.
If you and your user group are able to help us out and make a better conference for everyone, please send the following information to interest@osdc.com.au:
- Name of your open source technology or tool
- Name of your user group
- A user group contact point (for example, a mailing list)
- Names and contact details of the two program committee volunteers (particularly email addresses)
- Any estimation of the amount of interest that you feel there is in the Australian community for your tool or technology, including the names of a few companies who use it if known.
If you don't know of any user group for your open source tool or technology then email us at consideration@osdc.com.au explaining your anticipated talk and we'll try to help you find reviewers for your paper.
Please note that the final date for submission of other technologies is 28th June 2004.
