Python

OSDC will have a technology track devoted to Python, the open source, interpreted, interactive, object-oriented programming language.

The Python track will include a range of presentations by members of the Python core team and developer community, covering the language, Python tools and innovative uses for Python in a range of areas. The Python track will also include presentations on Zope, the open source application server, portal toolkit and content-management system.

PHP

PHP has grown far beyond the original vision for a simple web page templating language, and OSDC will have a PHP technology track featuring presentations from a number of well known developers covering topics relating to use of PHP in websites and web applications including interesting examples of integrating PHP with external systems and use of PHP for large projects. The Melbourne PHP User Group is a very active local group which has provided many of the PHP-track speakers for OSDC.
